Dublin, IRELAND Telephone +353-1-4730599 Fax +353-1-4730597 Postal Code Contact person SEAN O SIOCHRU, Research Director Program Description General: Target-Group This program is aimed at the development of a comprehensive system for the support of employment of Disabled people with two main objectives: on the one hand, to enhance the access and rehabilitation of the People with Special Needs (P.S.N.) through specific actions and mechanisms in the job market and on the other, to contribute to the formulation of a local and regional job market, so that it can facilitate the access of the People with Special Needs (P.S.N.) with as few barriers as possible In order to achieve the above mentioned objectives it is suggested to conduct: Surveys-Studies The establishment of an Institute for Planning, Consultation & Career Planning for the socio-economic rehabilitation of the Disabled people Training for Career Consultants The development and support of a commercial network of cooperative businesses, which have already been established in the context of the 2nd Dellors package(C.S.C.). EXPECTED RESULTS The suggested actions of the program are aimed directly to increase participation of the disabled people in the job market, not only as paid employees but also in the development of business activity. PREFECTURE GOVERNMENT OF EMATHIA PREFECTURE GOVERNMENT OF EMATHIA (AN.HMA) Action description TRAINING OF CONSULTANTS FOR CAREER PLANNING AND SUPPORT OF THE COMMERCIAL NETWORK Overview Training of ten (10) Career Planning and Commercial Network Promotion Consultants for the Disabled people in the geographical region of the Prefecture of Emathia in order to satisfy the needs of the "Institute" and with the prospect of staffing specialized centers which shall be established from the implementation of the business program of the 2nd Dellors package (C.S.C.). The Occupation Consultants shall have the role of providing encouragement, in the context of the Institute and shall provide support for the commercial network. The Institute shall employ at least two graduates from the training. With the equipment about to attain and in cooperation with the rest of the actions and the know how which shall be transferred from the transnational collaboration, the Institute is expected to become an essential tool for development in the area of Disabled people and in the area of First and Second level of Local Government. Through the network operation there will be technical support provided with matters of organization, administration and management of the businesses, as well as with matters regarding the promotion of their products, establishment of clientele and public affairs with an emphasis in advertisement. Another basic aim for the establishment of the network is employment through tele-working of a significant number of Disabled people, mostly with matters of product promotion via Telemarketing.
