

OLYMPIC CENTRE
The Olympic Centre is a non profit Civil Society. It was founded in 1995, according to the Law No 2072/92. Members of the society are: PIKPA (N.P.D.D.) and KEA/AMEA, a charitable association.
The Olympic Centre has founded a Centre for Professional Training and a Centre for Advising and Supporting Services of national range.
Its objectives are the following:
- Programmes of continuous educational training for the personnel of PIKPA aiming at the improvement of the services offered.
- Professional Orientation for persons with Special Needs, with the creation of permanent structures.
- Implementation of special training programmes and educational methods.
- Preparation - training and training for persons threatened with social exclusion.
- Introduction in the understanding and abortion of new technologies.
- Training of specialized trainers
- Development of special methods and preparation of special teaching material to contribute to the improvement of specialized professional training and to the specialization of Persons with Special Needs.
- Research of the Labour Market for posts of employment.
- Creation of Co-operations and protected laboratories for groups threatened with social exclusion.
- Social and Psychological Support for Persons with Special Needs and for their families.
- Awareness and information of the local society and the employers through daily conferences congresses and seminars.
- Participation in European networks for promotion of the above objectives.
- Securing the continuation of actions that are fighting against exclusion from the labour market.
The Olympic Centre already counts partners among the state-members of the E.U., with the purpose of exchanging information and of creating the possibility to evaluate the realized programmes.
